It’s time to welcome a new large electric SUV to Kia’s lineup. The Kia EV9 is scheduled to make its world debut in the first quarter of 2023. The concept car was first unveiled at the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show. Kia is confident that this SUV will revolutionize the electric SUV segment.
Here’s what we know so far
The Kia EV9 is definitely different from other all-electric SUVs, and it’s easy to see why. For starters, it has three rows of seats, making it the perfect car that the whole family can enjoy. There is also a solar panel built into the hood. It is also equipped with a composite pop-up steering wheel and a 27-inch display. In addition, many of the materials found inside are made from recycled plastics. In addition, this model is developed on the company’s advanced Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).
The performance and range of the Kia EV9
Kia claims the EV9 has a 300-mile driving range. The automaker also claims that this electric SUV will also be able to charge at 350-kilowatt fast charging stations.
According to Kia, “During this final stage of testing, the EV9 has been relentlessly subjected to a grueling verification program. Testing on a 4WD climbing hill and rough terrain tracks, as well as deep water, will ensure the most reliable even in the most difficult conditions. Kia’s high-speed, handling, and low-friction track put every element of the EV9’s performance and roadholding under strict scrutiny. At the same time, the ‘Belgian pavé’ cobbled road surfaces enable Kia engineers to subject the EV9’s ride comfort and build quality to the harshest possible tests. So, if you’re looking for an excellent electric SUV, the Kia EV9 should be at the top on your car shopping list. This vehicle has undergone testing at locations around the world, so you know performance is a key factor.

Should I buy the Kia EV9?

Although we don’t know every detail about this car, it’s safe to say, it’s a ground-breaking model to hit the market. And yes, it is a good investment for your trip. So far, we know that it is very broad and the show is very serious. The driving range seems pretty good from what we know so far. The interior is well appointed and has that 27-inch display across the dash. The solar panel on the hood will definitely provide more sun-powered range. We’re not sure how much it will cost yet, but expect it to be in line with or slightly below competitors’ lowest prices.
